Upon enrolling LifeLock asks the customer to set off his credit reports fraud alerts with some of the credit bureau agencies such as TransUnion, Experian and Equifax. With the fraud alert being set the credit card company calls the customer to approve the application through email. The credit companies are warned when thieves try to use the identity and therefore the LifeLock Promotion Code verifies the identity of the customer. If any theft has occurred and the customer does not known about this then LifeLock.com will contest a fraudulent entry on the customer’s behalf.
